Cavalier safeties wearing protective footwear

Cavaliers safety Tyler Pasquale and left tackle Josh Gasser have been wearing protective shoes since they arrived in the NFL, and Pasqualene was the only player to wear protective gear in practice.

The first day of the regular season, the first day a player can practice without the protection, they both wore protective footwear, with Pasquals shoes and Gassers running shoes.

Both have been on the field since Sunday’s preseason opener against the Bills.

Safety Darius Slay was the first to leave the field without protective gear during the regular-season opener, a loss to the Saints.
